White
is simple, and
Black,
or Left and
Right,
and mobs of
frightened, lost
children
flock to each
extreme.
Trampled,
unheeded, reviled,
is a quiet man
who stands between
them
and speaks the truth
to those who will
listen.
But that Christian crouching
in a corner
of the Coliseum
must have felt
ashamed
on seeing his brother
stand
in the center
with Jesus
waiting for the
lions.
