A porcelain man,
pure, white,
stood before a stinking crowd
of millions
and cried,
"Be clean!"
And the crowd shouted,
sang, wept,
said,
"A godly man,
a prophet of the
Most High."
But Jesus said,
"Hypocrite!,"
and the figure cracked,
fell apart,
oozed a thin, dry,
gritty dust
which blew from
the stage.
